Cargo Publishing is not like any other publishing company. Fact.
How exactly? Well, since we started running our famous artistic clubnights in Glasgow, Scotland (where we’re still based) in 2007, we’ve always been about community. Even then, we were supporting unsigned bands, musicians, writers, rappers, dancers, sculptors, painters-you name it-and we were putting them on beside well established artists.
And from this fusion of different arts, Cargo Publishing was born. To most of the publishing industry, it seems a crazy idea-terrific books at reasonable prices. But at Cargo, we believe in making our books as affordable as we can so that everyone can enjoy the best new writing there is.
So, we’ve always been about community. And that’s why we’re different. In an era where profit seems to decide everything, Cargo believes in supporting great artists so they can give us great books. We’re run by authors and people who care deeply about literature. We care; we hope you do too. And that’s why with Cargo, you can always be guaranteed a brilliant book.
