Simon Sylvester

Simon was born in England and grew up in Scotland. In 2003 he was awarded a First in BA English Literature from Lancaster University, and the following year he earned a Distinction in MA Film Production from the University of Bristol. He worked in the television industry for several years, then as assistant editor of two newsstand magazines. Simon started writing in 2007. His stories have appeared in Gutter, Smoke, Southpaw, Fractured West, Spilt Milk, Pank and other magazines, and his first novel is about WWII Burma and needs a publisher, please. Simon lives in Cumbria with the abstract painter Monica Metsers, earning his crust as a journalist, labourer and teacher. He enjoys rock-climbing and rum, and regularly posts nanofiction on Twitter. His book 140 Characters, a series of Twitter poems, is out on Cargo Crate.
