Cargo is one of the few publishers that accept unsolicited manuscripts. However, if you are lucky enough to have an agent, we ask that your representative contact us instead.

However, at present and due to an unusually large amount of submissions, we are temporarily closed. We’re really sorry; please do not send us any material at present as it will go unanswered. We’re hoping to have open submissions back up and running at some point in the future.

If you currently have a submission in process, we ask that you wait a minimum of 8 weeks for a response. This gives us the proper time to carefully consider your manuscript and give it the attention it deserves. Thanks!
